Mieke van Zundert (from Zundert)
(11-3- 56 Duivendrecht )

Documenting artist.

Using classical painting and drawing and form technique, the world is captured.

Three directions are distinguished in her work:

* Works and projects that document and report on what is happening or has happened in the world. Examples are the interwar project’ Woes’, ‘Forgotten Photos’, ‘the Moment Desk’ the protesting drawings about the situation in the US and  the perpetual project around Van Gogh.

* Work that purely captures and showcases  the fun in painting, drawing and forming. Work that has an easy entrance to the public, but that is not necessarily made for the public.

* Work on commission. Portraits, weddings, and  so on. .Painted with pleasure, with input of own choice and ability, but serving.  Commercial work, in other words, in order to be able to carry out the projects as a free artist.
